In 1837, Raphael Picard was the founder of the "Invicta Watch Group". The company was in the beginning founded in La Chaux-de-fonds, Switzerland. "Invicta" is the Latin word for "Invincible". In the first decades of its existence, Invicta rapidly becomes splendid for its elegantly designed and functionally constructed wristwatches wrist watches.

The business company was owned by Picards family for a very long time until 1991. Then Invicta was acquired by an investment company located in the United States and their headquarter moved to Hollywood, Florida. The chief executive officer of Invicta is named Eyal Lalo.
